Regulatory Authority:
ARSA – Agencia de Regulación Sanitaria (Honduras Ministry of Health)
All pharmaceutical product registrations in Honduras are regulated by ARSA under national legislation for pharmaceuticals, biological medicines, medical devices, and related health products.

1. Understanding Drug Registration in Honduras

1.1. Regulatory Overview

Honduras requires full technical documentation for all imported pharmaceuticals.
Foreign manufacturers (like Taj Pharma India Ltd.) must appoint a Local Authorized Representative (LAR) or local distributor who will act as the registration holder.

The dossier must comply with:

  • ARSA Guidelines for Medicamento Registro Sanitario
  • WHO-GMP standards
  • Stability data as per climatic Zone IVb (Temp 30°C ± 2 / RH 75% ± 5)

2. Dossier Format Accepted in Honduras

Honduras accepts dossiers in CTD-like format, but not strictly ICH-CTD.
Documents are categorized similarly to Administrative and Technical sections.

All foreign-origin documents must be:

  • Notarized, and
